Regina's Laughter

No one can laugh like Regina! When she gets going, she cackles non-stop. There's only one person I've ever heard laugh like that - and it was her grandmother (and namesake). We called her Baba Gina and our sweet little girl has definately inherited her grandmother's sense of humour and laugh!

The Empty Tomb

"The Empty Tomb: The Easter Story As Told by Regina'

After Jesus had died, two men asked permission to put Him in a tomb. After three days in the tomb, three women were discussing how to move the stone to be able to put spices with Jesus. But, there was an angel sitting on the rock. All of the guards were gone. The angel said to them, 'Don't be afraid. Jesus is risen!' Then, the other two women ran off. Mary Magdalene stayed. She was crying. A man asked, 'Who is it that you are looking for?' 'The Lord,' she answered. She thought he was the gardener. He stood up and took his hat off and she was shocked to see that it was God. She ran off and told two other disciples. Then those two came and were shocked too! Then they all went to one house and had a dinner. Jesus came and showed them his hands and his feet and his side. And they got to touch Him - and it didn't even hurt Him. Then they knew that it WAS Jesus. They were happy and glad too because they could see that Jesus was RISEN! And it gave them hope ...

Recital News!

I had a recital yesterday (Saturday, March 24th). I played (with some other piano students) at an old-folks home. This is me before I went to the recital, practicing my piece in my new dress and shoes. My dress was a little bit big - so my mom sewed it for me ... then I could hardly breath and I thought I would never get it off!!! It was still fun and I liked playing at the recital.

Something to Help You With Your NASA Challenge

This is a team of Canadian Astronauts (you can look up their names and stories on the Canadian Space Agency website) Notice the "CANADARM" behind them?

Here's an astronaut in the space suit - you can trace this if you want ...

Here's some more helpful 'tracing' pictures ... Can you read their titles?

Way To Go, Kid!

We just wanted you to know how proud of you we are, Regina! 100% on both of your tests from last week! WOW! All your hard work and studying paid off - and now you know all about BOUYANCY and THE EYE!!! Well done!

Love,
Mom, Dad, Louis and Maria

Hello! It's My First Blog!

My name is Regina. I am 7 years old and in grade 2 - well, 7 1/2 years old, actually!

I have a brother named Louis and a sister named Maria. They're the best brother and sister! They're pretty nice.

I have a couple of friends at school - we have fun there! My favourite subject in school is art. I like it because we get to paint and we get to draw, cut, glue and lots of stuff!

My favourite food is ITALIAN RICE! My Nonna makes it for me and it's very YUMMY!

I like to play games - chess, x's and o's, jeopardy, tag and hide n' seek too!

My favourite book is "The Hobbit". I'm reading it right now and am on chapter 5. My favourite characters are Gollum and Bilbo.

I play the piano. My favourite songs are "Theme and Variations", "I Found A Penny" and "Pterodactylls".
